Dr. Jones holds a BA in Greek and Latin from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity from Houston Christian University, and a PhD in Greek and Latin from the University of Texas, reflecting both deep academic training and a love for ancient languages. But more than that, Steve is a theological translator—able to take deep biblical truths and communicate them in ways that are both understandable and practical, especially across cultures.

He is a well-loved preacher, an accomplished linguist, and a long-time curriculum developer with a pastor’s heart. In many ways, Steve embodies the very heart of Hamoreh’s mission: to bring quality, accessible theological education to pastors in the most desolate places on earth.
